The Latest News from Kardias Ministries
Mission India 2008: Mission Accomplished
We are so pleased to report that Mission
India 2008 (MI-8) has been completed successfully. Our Lord was faithful
to supply all our needs and fill our cups to overflowing through the experience.
We praise Him for all He has done! As well as a very special “thank you!” to all
of those who made this trip possible through their donations. May you be blessed
for your generosity of heart.
We invite you to rejoice with us by coming over to the web site to see some videos
(with more to come!) on the Mission India
2008 page.
But the job isn't finished yet. In fact, it's just begun.
Help Children Attend School
One special request has been given to us by Mr. Michael Hubert and Shabnam Resources
for the children that he cares for (not all are orphans, but many are). School has
begun in India. Though public schools are available and free, children are required
to have a school uniform, shoes and socks, and school supplies (pens, pencils, paper,
etc) in order to attend classes. If you watch the video on the web site, you will
see how the children were given backpacks which were provided by the missionaries.
The cost for the additional supplies is only $18 US per child. This is a great deal
of money for the poorer families there. With more than 120 children in their care
(day care program and orphanage children), this burden is beyond the ability for
Shabnam Resources to relieve. Would you please prayerfully consider helping with
this immediate need? If you are led to help please send your tax deductible donation
using the information on the ministries homepage,
marking the donation for “School Supplies”. Thank you in advance for your help.
Future Plans
In the near future, please look for updates to the ministries pages regarding the
needs of the Gampala Family, and Church of God
Ministries, India and more details regarding the
orphanage facility in Chennai. We’ll let you know via entries in the
blog, as well as via our email updates.
In addition, we have a large project in progress that will help fulfill current
needs. A major goal of this mission trip was to gather information on the children
and widows in our target ministries so that people back here in the States can sponsor
them at $30 US a month. We will have pictures and biographies available through
the website so that you can personalize your offering by creating a personal connection
with an individual child or widow. Please look for this project to be completed
by October, 2008. We also hope to have brochures available at that time giving an
overview of what Kardias is accomplishing through the provision of our Lord. Please
pray for us as we continue to walk in faith with Him and do His will.
We also ask for prayers for the Gampalas and the Huberts, and for the congregations
and children they selflessly serve each and every day. They are true servants of
our Lord, but they face obstacles and harsh conditions that most of us can only
begin to grasp. But our Lord knows their needs, and so we build a bridge with them
in prayer. It is with prayer that we stay connected with God and His desires for
His people, both here and abroad.
Thank you for your continued interest, support and prayers. The benefits are being
seen and felt every day. If you ever have any questions beyond what these updates
or the web site are able to answer for you, please feel free to contact us:
